All our fire pistons have the same internal construction that all of our pistons have, which includes a brass barrel that has been brazed shut and a solid brass piston rod. The rod features a cross drilled tinder gripper which provides a positive grip to almost any tinder. Also, incorporated into every fire piston design is our unique pressure relief o-ring seat. The inside of the barrel and the o-ring seat are hand polished to reduce friction and provide a positive seal.
